Our luxury marble tiles recreate the veining of the world's best-known marbles in porcelain. You get the look of a marble floor or wall without the sealing, etching and staining that come with natural stone. Every tile in this collection is porcelain and priced per square metre, and you can order a free sample before you buy. For a fuller comparison of natural marble and porcelain, read our marble tiles buyer's guide.
Onyx: matt and polished
Onyx is known for soft, cloudy veining and a gentle, almost translucent depth. Our Classic Onyx and Onyx Grande ranges come in two finishes.
Onyx matt tiles have a low-sheen surface that hides footprints and water marks, which makes them a practical choice for bathroom and kitchen floors. Onyx polish gives a mirror-like shine that makes the most of light in hallways, living rooms and feature walls. Polished onyx is best kept to walls and dry floors. Both finishes are white porcelain from £27.40/m², in 300 × 600 mm and 600 × 600 mm formats.
Calcutta Imperial and Calacatta Gold
Calacatta-style marble has a bright white background with bold grey and gold veining, and it is the look most people picture when they think of luxury marble. Calcutta Imperial Gold is our statement piece. It is a 1200 × 2400 mm gloss porcelain slab, 9 mm thick, designed for walls, at £50/m². One slab covers 2.88 m², so a shower wall or a feature wall behind a bath or bed can be finished with very few joints.
For floors, Calacatta Gold Polish gives the same look in a 600 × 600 mm polished tile from £27.40/m². Between them, these Calcutta marble tiles cover walls and floors in one consistent style.
Satuario: white and grey
Satuario, often spelled Statuario, has a crisp white background with fine, soft-grey veining. It is quieter than Calacatta, which makes it easier to live with across large areas. Rome Satuario comes in white matt. Alps Satuario Grey comes in matt or polish, in a cooler grey that suits contemporary kitchens and bathrooms. Both are 300 × 600 mm porcelain from £27.40/m², and these satuario tiles can be used on walls and floors.
Choosing a finish
Matt suits floors in bathrooms, kitchens and entrances, where water and grit are part of daily life. Polished suits walls, living spaces and lower-traffic floors, where the reflective surface can do its work. Slip ratings aren't listed on these product pages. If you plan to use a polished tile on a floor that may get wet, ask our team for the rating before you order.

FAQ
Are your luxury marble tiles real marble?
No. Every tile in our marble collection is porcelain with a marble effect. It gives the look of natural marble without the need for sealing, and it won't etch or stain the way real marble can.
What is the difference between onyx matt and onyx polish?
Onyx matt has a low-sheen surface that hides marks and suits bathroom and kitchen floors. Onyx polish has a high-gloss, reflective finish that suits walls, living rooms and hallways.
What size is Calcutta Imperial Gold?
Calcutta Imperial Gold is a 1200 × 2400 mm gloss porcelain slab, 9 mm thick, designed for walls. It costs £50/m², and each slab covers 2.88 m².
Can I use polished marble tiles on a floor?
Yes, indoors. Polished tiles are more slippery when wet, though, so matt is the safer choice for bathrooms, kitchens and entrances. Ask our team for the slip rating before ordering polished tiles for a floor.
How much do luxury marble tiles cost at Axar Tiles?
Our Onyx, Calacatta Gold and Satuario ranges start at £27.40/m². Calcutta Imperial Gold large-format slabs are £50/m². Delivery is free on orders over £500.
